New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will organize a lecture on National Education Day here on Tuesday.

Mr. Prabhu Chawla, Editor of the India Today group, will deliver a discourse on 'National Education Day' at a panel discussion at the varsity's Convention Centre at 3:15 pm.

Prof. Raza Farooqi, Centre for Comparative Religions of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University and Prof. C.V. Sharma, Professor of Education at IGNOU will also grace the occasion.

The panel discussion will chaired by IGNOU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai.

The National Education Day will be celebrated across the country on November 11 commemorating the birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a great freedom fighter, an eminent educationist and the First Education Minister of Independent India.

Educational institutions at all levels would be involved in organizing seminars, symposia, workshops and rallies on importance of literacy and nation's commitment to all aspects of education on the 'National Education Day'.
