Manipal: Manipal University (Karnataka), is to soon announce expansion of University both in India and Abroad.

For this expansion Govt. of Rajasthan had provided 106 acres land on the Jaipur-Bikaner Road.

As per the source, University is planning to launch an engineering college and one management college at Rajasthan's capital (Jaipur). Further the source added that, the process of acquiring the land from the Government is still on.

The course will commence from September this year and construction work is believed to take at least two years. As per the sources, "The government hospital there will support the medical college. Which will automatically increase the bed strength of the hospital and viewing this change Gujarat Government has already promised to provide us 26 acres of land".

Talking about the international expansion, University has already launched its Engineering campus in Dubai recently in March and it is also expected that this college would have five disciplines as its registration had already started. The courses in this college are slated to commence from September 2008.
