Aligarh: A three-day International Conference on Analysis and its Applications (ICAA 2008) will be organized at the
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) from November 3-5, 2008.
Prof. Mursaleen, Convenor of ICAA 2008 said, "Scientists, engineers and even medicos are becoming increasingly concerned about the importance and need of mathematics, which has always been the subject of rapid developments to fulfill the need of the time."
"The conference aims at reviewing the achievements of the main branches of Analysis to identify the problems of current importance and outlining ways of their solution and possible applications. It aims at enhancing the transfer of knowledge and techniques among different fields of pure and applied Analysis, namely, Sequence Spaces, Matrix Transformations, Measures of Non compactness, Fixed Point Theory, Approximation Theory, Variational Inequalities, Optimization and Wavelets", Prof. Mursaleen added.
ICAA 2008 includes invited plenary lectures as well as contributed papers organized in two parallel sessions - one would cover the modern sum ability methods and allied topics, while the other would cover the methods of non-linear analysis.
Prof. Mursaleen informed that 24 foreign delegates from countries including
USA, Russia,
Germany, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Oman will participate in the conference.
