Prepare list of BTC candidates - HC to UP Govt.

Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday directed the Uttar Pradesh Government to prepare the merit list of special BTC (Basic Training Courses) Candidates by adding percentage of marks of theory and practical of B Ed and other training qualifications.

The order came from Justice Ashok Bhusan while hearing the writ petitions filed by Vijay Bahadur and others who had demanded state-wise merit list of BTC candidates instead of district-wise list.

However, the court did not accept the petitioners' demand and uphold the government order dated July 10, 2007 which directed preparation of district-wise merit list for special BTC.

It's worth mentioning here that the state government had earlier decided to impart special basic training course to file up 66,000 posts of assistant teachers in schools.
