Aligarh: The Governor of
Uttar Pradesh, Mr. T.V. Rajeshwar will be the chief guest at the Sir Syed Day Celebrations on October 17, 2008 of the
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
AMU Vice-Chancellor Prof. P.K. Abul Azis recently visited the Raj Bhavan and invited the UP Governor to be the Chief Guest at the commemorative function of Sir Syed Day celebrations.
The Governor will also inaugurate the newly constructed Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Hall of Residence for boys.
Mr. Rajeshwar will also attend the World Summit of AMU Alumni to be organised on the same day. Vice-President of India, Mr. M. Hamid Ansari will be the chief guest on this occasion.
A large number of AMU Alumni from all over the world will attend the two-day summit, organized for the first time at the varsity.
