Dehra Dun: Uttarakhand Government has decided to extend free education up to class XII for boys at government and aided institutions.

Earlier,it was only for girls.

The government has also decided to give scholarships to poor but meritorious students from the general category in professional and technical courses at various institutions across the State.

"Poor but meritorious students from the general category in professional and technical courses at various institutions across the state will be given scholarships," said Chief Minister B. C. Khanduri.
