The ICFAI University, Tripura announces the launch of the CPA-CFA Dual Masters program, designed to prepare men & women with the skills, knowledge and strategic perspectives essentials to the leadership of Accounting and Finance anywhere in the world. The Dual Masters program consists of two streams:  CPA and CFA.

The CPA stream provides an in-depth understanding of accounting and financial insights. The knowledge of which can be applied in accounting and auditing services, taxation, consulting, research etc. The CFA stream provides an in depth understanding of financial analysis. The knowledge can be applied in Banking and Financial services sector and practice areas like finance, mergers & acquisitions, risk management and consulting.

Through the Dual Masters Program, the students may acquire two career-oriented professional qualifications in management and accounting and can also save their precious time.  Instead of the normal duration of 4 years (two years for CPA and two years for CFA) the students of the Dual Masters Program may complete the same in 24 months.

For those aspiring to pursue fast-track careers in the sunrise sectors, the Dual Masters program is the most suited. The CFA stream coupled with appropriate choice of electives whereas the CPA stream gives them deep financial insights. CPA provides in-depth accounting insights. This will be unique skill-set combining analysis and synthesis, operation and strategy.

Eligibility
Bachelor's Degree in English medium (any discipline) with 55% and above aggregate marks. 

Program Structure
The Dual Masters program has 24 subjects with 12 subjects for CPA stream and 12 subjects for CFA stream. The actual number of subjects may be less due to availability of subject wise waivers. The students have to choose any one set of two electives in CPA stream. In the 1st year, the CPA stream covers – Financial Accounting, Business Law and Environment, Audit & Assurance, Management Accounting, Taxation, Financial Management. The CFA stream covers- Financial Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Financial Management, Financial Markets, Financial Statement Analysis

In the 2nd year, the CPA stream covers – Advanced Accounting & Reporting, Corporate Laws, Two Elective Subjects, Information Systems Audit, Tax Planning. The CFA stream covers- Equity: Analysis and Valuation, Fixed Income Securities: Analysis and valuation, Derivatives: Analysis and valuation, Portfolio Management, Mutual and other funds, Professional Ethics and Case Studies.

Study and Examinations
The dual masters program is based on self-study and examinations. The University provides a detailed study plan, courseware and E–learning Package. The courseware includes textbooks, workbooks and study guides specially designed for independent study by the students. The E-learning package includes E-Text books, E-Lectures, Lecture Notes, Quiz, Articles and Mock Tests etc. The E-Learning package is designed to help the flexible learning students' study in a convenient computer-based environment. The students can study at their own place, pace and time. Learning through CD-ROM allows the students to take advantage of E-learning benefits without the need for an Internet connection. It is more convenient than classroom learning. Students can also avail of training classes, which is optional.

The examinations are conceived, developed and administered on a rigorous and fair basis to bring out the best in the students and prepare them for challenging careers. Students will be eligible to appear for Group 'A' examination of CPA stream and Group 'A' examination of CFA stream six months after the date of enrollment. The examinations are conducted on Sundays in April, July, October and January in 205 centers all over India.

Fee Particulars
The applicants are required to pay Rs.75000/- for Year – I with training classes or Rs.45000/- without training classes.  Installment facility/EMI facility is also available.

The examination fee is to be paid separately as and when the student is eligible and registers for the examination.

Duration
The Duration of the Dual Masters program is 24 months.
